2020 Midwest Conference on Work & Cancer

Our 7th annual Midwest Conference on Work & Cancer will take place online on March 27th. This free, interactive virtual event will explore the challenges working people face when balancing a cancer diagnosis with employment. We’ll cover a range of relevant topics, including disclosure, privacy and online brand, working through treatment, job search and health insurance options.

Additionally, we’re thrilled to include psychotherapist Julie Larson, LCSW, at this year’s Conference to discuss ways to manage long-term stress.

We’re looking forward to providing critical education and access to experts on work and cancer at a time when being empowered in your work journey is especially important. Every year, our diverse audience of patients, survivors, healthcare and HR professionals, caregivers and employers come together to obtain information that addresses the myriad of issues that lie at the intersection of work and cancer. One of our 2019 Midwest Conference on Work & Cancer attendees said, “This conference was extremely informative. I really enjoyed the presentation and all the materials provided. The speakers were wonderful and engaging and I learned a lot that I can bring back to my organization and my clients.”

Qualified oncology nurses and social workers who attend are also eligible to receive complimentary CEUs. (See our accreditation page for details.)

Registration is still open, so please spread the word! To register, please visit this link: https://www.cancerandcareers.org/en/community/events/midwest-conference/registration.

This unique, resource-rich event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors  — Genentech, HSN, Pfizer, P&G, QVC, Allsup, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Servier— and the help of our Community Partners. Many thanks to Allsup for supporting this event for a second year in a row!
